Former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama has paid tribute to a former Member of Parliament for the Wa Central constituency who died a few days ago.
The late M. A. Seidu, a renowned educationist from the Upper West Region, was the first MP for Wa Central in the Fourth Republic.
Mr. Mahama, who is himself a former MP for the Bole Bamboi Constituency described the late Seidu as “one of the stabilising forces in Parliament for President Rawlings’ administration and a key member of the NDC in the Upper West Region”.
The former President recalled that just a few weeks ago, while in the Upper West Region, he visited the deceased and his family in the company of other members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“It was only recently that, together with other comrades, we visited him at his Wa residence. My condolences to his grieving family, the Wa and Upper West NDC fraternity”, he noted.
