Former President John Dramani Mahama has sent out an emotional thank you message to his fellow countrymen and women, appreciating them for their show of love, sympathy and support to the Mahama family following the loss of their brother, Emmanuel Adam Mahama.
A younger brother of the former president, Adam Mahama died on the last day of 2021 at the Nyaho Hospital in Accra and has since been buried at his hometown, Bole.
A book of condolence has been opened by the family in response to calls and requests from the public to condole with the family. President Mahama and his siblings have been receiving mourners at his residence over a three-day period set aside for the signing of the book of condolence.
At the end of the second day on Friday, Mr. Mahama thanked Ghanaians for their expressions of sympathy and support for him, his siblings and the family of their late brother.
“To all who have visited over the last two days and taken the opportunity to sign the Book of Condolence opened by the family, we are grateful for your words of support and your presence”, he wrote on his official Facebook page.
