Former President John Dramani Mahama has mourned the death of Auntie, the popular Labone-based waakye seller.
In a Facebook post, Mr Mahama celebrated the late Auntie Muni’s culinary skills, noting that the veteran caterer served us mouth-watering ‘waakye’ for decades. The late caterer died at the age of 72.
Mr Mahama has meanwhile sent a message of encouragement to Chef Failatu Abdul Razak, who is attempting to break the Guinness world record for the longest number of hours spent cooking in Tamale.
“The latest reports indicate that she’s already passed the 52-hour mark, ” Mahama stated, adding, “May God give young Chef Failatu the energy and strength to bring the record home to Ghana.”
