NDC sets May 13 for 2024 Presidential & MP primaries

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced Saturday May 13, 2023, for the holding of its twin primaries to elect the party’s presidential and parliamentary candidates for the 2024 general elections.

Announcing the party’s decision at a press conference on Wednesday, General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey said the party will hold the two elections simultaneously at the same venue in all 226 constituencies, including SALL.

On the details for the elections, Mr. Kwetey said the processes will start with the opening of nominations on the 22nd of February 2023.

To avoid constituencies from seeking to inconvenience potential parliamentary aspirants, the party says the nomination forms shall be available online at www.ghanandc.com to download after paying a non-refundable fee of GH¢5,000.00 and a filing fee of GH¢40,000.00.

For the Presidential Primaries, nomination forms shall be available in the office of the General Secretary at a non-refundable cost of GH¢30,000.00. The filing fee is also non-refundable and will be at a cost of GH¢500,000.00, all payable by banker’s draft.
