President Mahama warns against reckless driving during Eid.

President John Mahama has urged young people to celebrate responsibly, warning against reckless riding and driving that have claimed lives during past Eid celebrations.
President Mahama gave the advice in his speech at the National Eid-ul-Fitr celebration in Accra.
“No one must die because of Eid. Reckless driving and riding must stop.”
He directed the police to enforce road safety laws to prevent accidents during the celebrations. Beyond safety, President Mahama highlighted the importance of peace and national unity, urging Ghanaians to embrace tolerance, collaboration, and mutual respect.
He called for more investment in education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for Muslim communities to drive inclusive development.
The President also addressed the issue of illegal construction in waterways, warning that those responsible for endangering lives through poor planning will face the full force of the law.
