Stan Dogbe surprises KETASCO quiz contestants with laptops

For thrashing Wesley Girls & Tamasco for the finals

A Special Assistant to former President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday announced a gift of three laptops to representatives of his alma mater, Keta Secondary School (Ketasco), moments after the school booked a place in the Grand Final of the 2021 National Maths and Science Quiz competition.

Ketasco defeated the match fancied Wesley Girls High School from Cape Coast and Tamale Secondary School from the Northern Region, with 53 points as against Wesley Girl’s 35 points.

It is the first time Stan Dogbe’s former school is qualifying for the final of the competition, and the first school from the Volta Region to do so. In a Facebook shortly after the end of the second semi-final contest, which Ketasco won, the former Presidential Staffer said:

Congratulations Bright, Francisca and James for aiding our first qualification to the Grand Finale of the National Maths & Science Quiz.

The Great Keta Trio. To celebrate their hard work, intelligence and achievement, I will be presenting to each of them a laptop to support their academic work.
